The school is the only facility in Ghana and among few in Africa, which provides formal training for Optical Technicians. For this reason, there is a high demand for enrolment at the school from both Ghana and other West African countries.
Consequently, the school is challenged to ensure that high quality products are prepared, maintained and constantly improved upon. To stand up to this challenge the need to upgrade the School has become imperative.
Graduates will be required to write license examination conducted by the Allied Health Professional Council after internship. Successful candidates shall register with the Allied Health Professional Council before they can practice as Professional Opticians.
